THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOUR DEAD TIRED(AND MARTHA STEWART)
This was more than just a movie
title
to your hosts. It was real life as we traded barbs with KOA's Rick Barber in the
middle of the night on his highly rated radio program early Monday morning.
We were dead tired, but it was good fun for all.
We were kind of disapointed that he didn't ask us what we though
about the whole
Martha Stewart debacle now unfolding. If he had asked us, we would have
given him our own view of strong women like Martha in the New New Economy.
We actually cover this in a chapter in our book which provides observations
and tips for women so they can become the richest men in town. To wit:
-New new economy women are janes-of-all-trades, masters of none....Or is that
mistresses of none? Well, we are not sure which it is, but if it is
"mistresses" of all trades, you better not go around telling yourself that.
People will think you are a home wrecker.
-New new economy women are tough managers, but they are not bullies. They
tell it straight, but they don't put anyone down or make them feel bad. This
means they are afraid to fire people, but we think that is good. Firing
people makes for negative energy, and who wants to go to work with all that
negative energy in the air?
-New new economy women are accountable. They take the blame for their
mistakes and learn from them. Mostly, they learn that one single mistake can
kill a carreer. Its a hard lesson to learn, but that's ok, these are hard
women.
-New new economy women know their competitors are not their co-workers. Her
competitors are her business' competitors. And the wives of the men she
works with.

Investment Tip # 431
Don't invest for the future,
Invest IN the future!
Of course, this involves building a time machine, but after that, the rest should sort itself out nicely, don't you think?
