NHRA: 40th NHRA Reading Nationals presented by Nitro Fish - Mohnton, PA
Monday, September 15, 2025:
All three John Force Racing teams had their day end early in the NHRA Nationals presented by Nitro Fish when each lost their second-round matchups at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was the first time since June 8, 2025, at Bristol Motor Speedway that John Force Racing didn’t advance at least one car into the semifinals.
Brittany Force qualified eighth in Top Fuel while Austin Prock and Jack Beckman qualified second and fourth, respectively, in Funny Car. Each had lane choice in the first round of eliminations, and each earned victories.
Force ran 3.798 seconds at 337.41 mph against Dan Mercier in the opening round to advance, but lost lane choice for Round 2 to Clay Millican. In the second round, Force got the holeshot by 12-thousandths-of-a-second (0.076 to 0.088) but the Monster Energy dragster smoked the tires just a couple hundred feet off the starting line while Millican ran 3.866 seconds at 313.88 mph.
The two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion is seventh in the 2025 Countdown to the Championship point standings after the first of six Countdown races.
In Funny Car, Austin Prock’s run of 3.911 seconds at 333.99 mph in Round one was more than enough to defeat Joe Morrison and earned him lane choice in the second round against eventual event winner Cruz Pedregon. Prock was in the preferred right lane and left first (0.053 to 0.098) but dropped a cylinder early and then passed the timing lights at the top end after Pedregon had already turned on the win light.
In his opening round, Jack Beckman ran 3.941 seconds at 328.54 mph to defeat Dave Richards and earned lane choice in round two against Ron Capps. Fast Jack took the left lane and beat Capps off the line (0.062 to 0.087) but the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS slowed to a run of 4.013 seconds at 325.77 mph, while Capps ran 3.974, taking the win to advance to the semifinals.
Even after the early exits, Prock and Beckman still hold the top two spots in the 2025 Countdown to the Championship after the first of six races.
The Countdown to the NHRA Mission Foods Championship continues with Round 16 of 20 at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, September 19-21 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina.
NASCAR: Cup Series & Truck Series- Bass Pro Night Race / UNOH 250, Presented by Ohio Logistics - Bristol, TN
The PEAK brand could be spotted again in NASCAR action at the Bristol Motor Speedway, as Todd Gilliland's Love's car competed in the Cup Series at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race and Layne Riggs' Love's truck competed in the Truck Series at the UNOH 250 presented by Ohio Logistics.
Gilliland faced an uphill battle from the start. He began the race in the 36th position and climbed up to 31st by the conclusion of the race. Riggs' performance is cause for celebration, as he earned the checkered flag in first place at Saturday's race. He overcame a first-lap spin out, and gained the lead off of a restart on lap 142 of 250, and never looked back.
Congratulations to Front Row Motorsports on the season so far!
