NHRA: Cornwell Tools Night under Fire- Norwalk

Monday, August 5, 2024: In front of a sellout crowd of over 40,000 fans, two-time Top Fuel World Champion Brittany Force returned to the Cornwell Tools “Night Under Fire” to win the Top Fuel category and to run the night’s quickest time and fastest speed (3.840 seconds at 320.20 miles per hour) Saturday night at Summit Motorsport Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

In his return to Funny Car racing, "Fast" Jack Beckman ran low ET of the opening round (4.047 at 309.34 mph) and narrowly missed doubling up victories for John Force Racing after mechanical issues slowed Beckman in the finals, giving Dale Creasy Jr the win.

Despite the final round disappointment, Beckman was pleased with the overall direction of his first week filling in for John Force, who continues to recover from a TBI suffered in a June 23 crash in Richmond, Virginia.

John Force Racing’s next stop on the tour is the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota, August 15-18th.
